Create a new Broadcast Campaign with Legacy Template

A Broadcast Campaign is a one-time email blast to a selection of Accounts. Using these you can convey special messages such as offers, promotions, events, etc. to a targeted audience.

In order to create a Broadcast campaign, please follow the below instructions:

1. Go to the Email Marketing option under the Marketing tab and select Broadcast Campaign.

2. After that click on (+) ADD icon which is located at the top right-hand corner of the display.

3. After clicking on the (+) ADD icon, you will get the following options below to create a new Broadcast Campaign.

4. Select the Legacy Template option from the Category drop-down list.

  • Template: You can select templates from the template library or from templates you created earlier.
  • Next, click on Select to open the Create Broadcast campaign page.
  • Click on Cancel to cancel the campaign.

After clicking on Select, you will get the below options there on the display of your CRM.

5. Campaign Name (Required): Type in a name for the Broadcast Campaign.

6. Select the Group(s), Contact Filter, or Account Filter to target your campaigns to.

a. Group: The Campaign will be sent to all members of the selected groups.

Note: You can add up to 3 groups at a time.

  • Click on the group radio button then select a group from the drop-down list.

b. Contact Filter: Select this to contact a dynamic list of contacts.

  • Click on Contact filter radio button then select an option from the drop-down list.

Note: You won’t be able to edit the filter in a running state

c. Account Filter: Select this to target a dynamic list of Accounts. The campaign will be sent to all linked Contacts of the Accounts associated with this list.

  • Click on the Account filter radio button then select an option from the drop-down list.

7. From Name: Your login name will be populated in this field by default. You can change it to something else if you want to.

8. From Email: Your email address will be populated in this field by default. You can select a different email address from the drop-down list if you want to.

9. Subject (Required): The subject field will be updated according to the selected Template. You can type in a different subject if you want to change it.

10. Personalize: Click on the small gear icon (shown below) which is located at the right-hand side of the subject line to personalize drop-down list such as Company, First Name etc, to add to the subject field to make the Template more personalized.

11. Below the Subject line, there is the Next button. Clicking on the Next button will take you to the design section where the email template shows up. This section allows you to edit the text, add pictures, and more.

12. Click on Save to Create the new Broadcast campaign.

13. Once you have saved the marketing campaign, it will show more buttons.

  • Save: Click on save to save any changes.
  • Schedule: Click to schedule a date and time to execute the campaign.
    • Select a date and time then click on Schedule and click on OK to confirm.

 

  • Execute now: This will execute the campaign right away.
  • Copy: This will allow you to create a similar campaign without having to make many changes.
  • Test: This will allow you to send the Test email to your email account for a final review.
  • Change Template: You can also change the Marketing Template from this section.

Once your campaign Executes you will be able to track its performance via Results upon clicking on its Name, as stated below in addition to the reporting functionality in the CRM.

The Notes for a particular contact will also be updated to show the Broadcast Campaigns sent to them previously as per the example below:
