SMS Integration in Soffront will allow the salesperson to send text messages to their Accounts and Contacts. It will only let the salesperson send national messages within the same country.
This feature will help the sales rep to communicate with their Accounts or Contacts very easily and the reply from his customer will be notified with an email. All these conversations will be saved as a note in a record with a text format under the Notes tab. So that you can track all SMS conversations with your clients in CRM.
Note: Only the primary administrator of the account can access the phone number setup.
Follow the steps below to Integrate a phone number with Soffront.
1. Click the Settings icon
2. Go to the left side menu and click on Phone Numbers
3. Go to the right side window and click on ADD Numbers > Lease option is displayed
4. SMS Integration section opens with its components
5. No leased phone number will be displayed for the first time until purchasing in SMS Integration section.
Note: Lease a Number will cost $1.99/month
6. You have to enter a valid zip/area code and click on the Find button
7. After searching with a valid zip/area code, the available phone numbers are displayed with its other options
8. Now click on the Lease button to buy any phone number for your account
9. You can see the purchased phone number for your account
10. Specify a mobile phone number to handle replies if your contact replies to your text or calls you on the virtual number.
11. Your SMS Credits section shows the credit and from there using ADD Credits link you can buy credits.
Now you can send text messages from Soffront application to your customers and how you can perform sending text messages from there. Please see the below steps:
12. Go to Accounts or Contacts → Open any record→ Click on Mobile number hyperlink
Tip: You can perform this action from Accounts List view, Detail View as well as from Contacts List view, Detail View
13. Clicking on Mobile number of the account record, Send Text Message option would be displayed
14. Click on Send Text Message option→ Send SMS drawer opens where you can send text messages to your Accounts or Contacts and when your customer replies back you can see their responses as well.
15. All the conversations will be saved as a note in the Notes child tab mentioning the exact author name (sender). Contact’s first name and last name will be displayed as an author when the customer replies.
16. Then either you can Send the SMS now Or Schedule it for a Later date.
Note (1): When the customer responds back, the sales rep (sender of the text message) should get an email alert.
Note (2): This feature is available for the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Australia only.
Note (3): Due to regulatory guidelines for Australia, Spain, France, Netherland, Germany, send your Street address, City, and zip code to Support for Validation.
Note (4): We count 160 Characters per SMS credit. So if you are sending an SMS with 500 characters then a total of 4 SMS credits will be deducted from your SMS account balance.
