What is a Bounce Email?

Soffront doesn’t have any control on Bounced email. Bounce email can happen due to the following reasons:

1) Soft bounces – A soft bounce is a temporary delivery failure.

Soft bounces can occur when the recipient’s mailbox is full; the receiving server is down or swamped with messages; the message size is too large; the recipient’s inbox security settings do not allow for an email from the sender etc.

2) Hard bounces – A hard bounce is a permanent delivery failure.

When you get a hard bounce it means the recipient’s email address is invalid or no longer in use. Also, it could also be invalid due to typos, for example, gnail instead of gmail.

Soffront CRM will finally mark the contact’s email status as ‘Bounced’ when the emails are bounced three times. The system will automatically change the email status of that contact into bounced and it will not send any further emails to that specific contact.
