Regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) require that you have explicit consent from your contacts before you send them emails.
With Soffront, new contacts signing up from your website or landing page can give their consent to receive your emails. Soffront will record the date the consent is given.
Getting Consent From Landing Pages
You can add a checkbox in your landing page form that asks the contact to subscribe to your emails.
- Open the landing page you’d like to use > edit the form on the page.
- Under the Form properties, select the checkbox labeled “Show opt-in checkbox”.
- Enter the text that you’d like to see beside the checkbox or use the default text “Subscribe to our newsletters”.
- Save and publish the landing page.
- The checkbox will appear at the bottom of the form in the published landing page.
- When someone submits the form, Soffront will update two fields in their contact record –
- Email Status field – Will be changed to Opted-in Confirmed.
- Opt-in Date field – Will be changed to the date and time the form was submitted.
