How to See the Opted-in Status of Contacts

Always make sure that the email status of a Contact in your CRM is always set to Opted-in because If any of your contacts unsubscribe from your email then their email status will change automatically. If their email status is set to Opted-out, Bounced Or Bad, then they will never receive any future email from you.

Note: The Opted-in status for a contact is available in the field called “Email Status“.

The available values of the Email Status field are as follows:

  • Opted-in – the contact has opted-in to receive your emails.
  • Opted-out – the contact has unsubscribed from your emails.
  • Bounced – the contact’s email address has bounced for your previous emails.
  • Invalid/Bad – the contact’s email address is not valid.

To see the email status of contacts, add the Email Status field to the contact list view (See below).

If the field is not available in the list view then click on the small gear icon next to list and add the field.

Add the field called “Email Status” and then click on “Save” button.
